Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) has much to celebrate in 2006. Over 10 years it has grown from 11 pilot sites to more than 180 programs serving families in more than 145 counties.

March 9, 2006 was proclaimed “Safe and Stable Families Day” by Governor Sonny Perdue at Georgia’s State Capitol, where PSSF shared its successes with 12 regional exhibits that highlighting its accomplishments. That evening, PSSF supporters and attendees of the Safe and Stable Families Symposium celebrated with an Awards Dinner at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.

Presenting awards were Mary Dean Harvey, Director, Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Martha Okafor, Deputy Director Programs and Policy, and Ann Dennard Pope, Program Director of Promoting Safe and Stable Families.
